MUST-LIST / state of MIND!!!!

Hey everybody,
now I am in portugal for 2,5 months and a few days ago my brain started to understand what an idiot I am.

It happened when I was listening to a Tony Robbins video on youtube. He said something that hit me like lightning.

" Being a Hero is a state of mind!!!!"

WOW....I stopped the video and listened to it a hundred times....over and over again I understood more and more what an idiot I am.
I started playing 6max Turbo sngs and made roughly 6k $ in 17 days and then hit a downswing of 40 buyins and all of a sudden I started to freeze and thought that I wasn´t good enough to beat the game and that everybody now had my game figured out.

WHAT A FISH!!!

A friend of mine showed me some simulations. we took a 1% ROI winner and let him play 26tsd games per year and ran 10000 simulations.

We found out that the chance to hit a 350 buyin downswing are 11%.....
So the guys that I highly respect in 6max Turbo sngs have the same swings I have in them, and still make SNE every year. And I think about quitting after my first downswing?

The day after this I played 90% 60$ 6max turbos, hit 4tsd Vpps and was breakeven, the day after I did the same, and today I will do the same. Its just our state that determines what we will achieve.

Next big thing I learned from Tony:

We all have HUGE Should-Lists.

I SHOULD workout
I SHOULD spend more time reviewing handhistories
I SHOULD make 4tsd VPPs per day
I SHOULD..........



And then he added:

As long as we don´t change this list into a MUST-LIST, we will not be successfull!!!

There is not much more to say about this I guess.

Altho I have achieved so much in my life already, I still have alot more potential.
I still have a Person in me that is capeable to do alot more, and achieve higher goals.

Lets unleash the dragon!!!

Next time, I ll show u guys my list, to show you what is necessary and then discuss how we can achieve higher goals.

This is worth a Blogpost

Hey everybody, hows it goin?
As most of you might know, I am now settled in Portugal (Altura) with 2 fellow grinders and our Girlfriends.
I will talk alot more about the traveling and the grind in the next post, I promisse I am gonna finish it today but first of all I am gonna do a small Post about something that happened yesterday.
So, right now I am playing 6max Turbos 30-100$ stake. And a funny Situation happened. It was BB200 with 2800 effective stacks blind vs blind.
I am in the BB with A9o and the SB minraises , I rejam and he snapcalls!!!!!! A4o. Interesting call buddy....but I didn´t really put much thought into it as the player was totally random to me.

But then he decided to write this as his comment to the situation:

The setups I have constantly in my favor???? OH really buddy? so A4o is a snapcall on the bubble of a 6max sng.
Sry bro, my fault, will fold A9o next time, what can i reshove then? please lemme know what my correct handrange should be against your minraises then, so next time I don´t make a mistake.

whats goin on? last few days have been amazing poker wise and the closer it gets to me leaving germany, the better my mood gets.... :D

I mean, Germany right now is a mix of rain and cold days and sometimes 1-2 days every ten days it gets warm...that`s it.

In terms of Poker everything is pretty cool.

I´ve watched Dave Emmons vids on TPE, and it pumped me up alot. It has been 2 weeks since I´ve seen them for the first time and I did not tilt a single time since that, which is really good for a big tilter like me hahahahahaha.

On the mtt side I managed to get a second place in a 55$ turbo for 1,8k and a 4th place finish in a nightly 25$ hyperturbo 6max for another 1,5k.. plus some nice cashes in few other mtts too...
I had one sick day last week where i got top20 of hot16,50-22-55 and 8r 2x turbo in one day...so close to huge money and then failed to win the huge flip in the end...Oh well, it will def come...

Hard work always pays. And with my pokerbuddies in Portugal things can only get better!!!

5 day festival and its only 95€ including camping...so sick.

I thought this would be a really cool start for our Pokerhouse in Portugal as dunc and his gf arrive few days before that.

Def was surprised to hear his voice so clear and deep...perfect day.

Today its BBQ-day. we invited everybody we knew and bought lots of beer and meat. lets celebrate our last days here.

money management

Whenever we talk about moneymanagement people talk about how to manage a pokerbankroll, but no one really talks about LIFE-moneymanagement.

What happens when i actually made 100k in 2012??? what do i do with the money?
spend it all on woman and shit i dont need?

well, here is my sugestion, and its basically what I did in my life before I got to this point, that I am in right now.

And I want to point out that I am NOT rich by any means and I am not super smart or anything like that, but one thing I definitively am, and that is organized.

So, what I did in the past was work until I somehow reached 100tsd Euroes. Once I had that money I went to a few Banks and asked how much interest they offer me, if I invest this money for a few years. and after searching for one month I found a Bank that gave me a really good offer.


From that point on I recieved 50% of my profits to my bankaccount every January and the rest stayed, so my 100k could grow.

I highly suggest NOT stopping to work and NOT spending any unneeded money until you reach this first goal.

This provides you with safety and some money to pay your debths and rent. And once you have this, you can start searching for bigger goals.

Hamburg-The Lion King

So last week i turned 30, damn I am old....when is my expiration date?, must be close...

Well I took my girl and we drove to Hamburg, a pretty sick town. Spent 3 days in a Hotel in the middle of the redlight district called "REEPERBAHN" and had a really awesome time.

I highly recommed visiting the Port over there, it´s definitely the biggest I´ve ever seen in my life, and we spent a full day walking around it and watched a ship being made.

This is the Port in Hamburg its tough to take a good pic of it, as its soooo huge and it looks nice from far away, but obv if u stay near a ship u wont see much as that shit is HUUUUGGGGEEEE

Really amazing, and whenever you go to Hamburg there will be Parties and lots of people ever single day 365 days / year.

Also I highly recommend the Dungeon, where they take you to a 90 mins tour through the history of Hamburg, its interactive and the explanations and history telling is really really good.
Its so cool as Hamburg has a deep and important role in the history of Germany and europe. And it had to be rebuild several times after being destroyed, either by natures desastrous powers or by mistakes people made in the past. 100% must-see!!

Make sure to search for discounts, we found 33% discount on a kalendar in our hotel.

The second day we saw The lion King musical, I highly recomment that too, the actors are really amazing, its not the cheapest experience, but definitively worth it. 

After that we spend the full night partying, and as it was my b-day I got totally drunk, and my girl tried to take some pics, but they all looked like this

HAHAHAHA...

so all in all it was a really cool trip.

Today I will be going to a brazilian restaurant will my best friends, I ve invited them as it will be kind of a b-day celebration and also to see them all together maybe for the last time before me and my girl leave to Portugal for 2 years. And today its really sunny ( thats not really the case in germany much ), so, thanks GOD, my 30th b-day present i guess.

I will talk more about poker in my next post, as I definitively expect big things to come in the near future.

Right now all I can tell is that I increased my results in 180s even more. now I am at 5$/180 man in 2013. so where everybody is comlaining about games getting tough i still cruise at 30%+ roi constantly and broke the 20k profit mark for 180s in 2013.

portugal 2.0 and the grind!!!!

hey everybody..hope ya`ll doin well in life.
So, for now I am in Portugal vising my family and was searching for a house. and basically after one day of search found it. i fell in love with it the moment that I saw it...

our barbecue place, there is a really nice garden on the side and back of the house too...love it !!!

 the front part, i will get better pictures later, as there is still someone living in it right now

the house is in a very calm zone, with mostly rich people around me ( well, rich for portuguese standarts ).

My girlfriend and me will move in in July, her studies will finish in June and then we ll finally leave germany behind and start strong in Portugal.
I already have some friends that will visit us, they were only waiting for me to find a house actually lol.
And I am currently discussing a coaching and living deal with a future student of mine. And another friend is currently thinking about moving in with us for half a year too.

Ok, and now some poker.

Geez, VPP-grinds are freakin hard. Last month my girl sat next to me after a 10hr hyperturbo grind and said: Pedro to be honest you are not happy since you are playing these games, so i decided to play some 180s and boom here are the results

I guess i dont need to mention that this made me really happy actually.
Then I looked at my MTT graph and I was down like 5k for the year in mtts only, so I searched for some coaching and found a good friend of mine BFIZZ11, who offered me a few hours of coaching and well, guess what

I cashed the hotter 44,55, and got 20th in the hotter 75 this sunday.
Cashed all major turbo mtts yesterday and got 3rd in a 82$ hyperturbo and many more cashes. everything makes so much more sence now.

oh and finally i crossed the 100k profit mark, sux that i spend so much time on hyperturbos without results, i think so far i am breakeven pre rb and up only 5k in rb i think

Also I will start a nice mtt/180 work with a friend who is alot smarter than me imo. he comes up with alot of cool ideas all the time. its crazy, every time i talk to him , he comes up with something new. sux that he can not play right now as he is in us...but when he is back, he will be a force!!!I really believe that our work will help eachother and we will crush the tables even harder.

well all in all I am really positive about our future in general. I really hope that USA will be back in the online Pokerworld in the near future, and then who knows...bigger mtts,....I AM PREPARED...

but besides that i ve been loosing time in other games....thankfully i didnt loose any money in them , and i almost passed Supernova on Pokerstars already, but besides that, i lost almost 6 weeks, not making any money. suxxxxxx

ev-line goes up, winnings down

Ok for the first time my ev-line crossed the profit line, and i am now officially running under ev ;)

Kinda cool feeling as I ve never had that before, and everybody is complaining about running under EV...

Vpps per day are still under the amount that I need per day...but I am working on that really hard.

Am at 2k per day now... need to bump it up 45% then it will be no problem...

Going out to eat a huge Burger now....yay life is good

Running up-hill with my ev-line

Hey everybody....

So a few days ago I decided (again) to go for Supernova Elite, so I started to talk to friends that already made it and others that are extremely good at 6max hyperturbos and 6max Turbos.
So far I`ve worked really hard on all my ranges and on peoples tendencies and am really confident that I am a winner in any game, I mean my results prove that, so there is not much to fear.

I just need to get in the Volume. And that`s where the top earners are separated from the poor people...

And as I am generally really lazy I wondered how I could motivate myself to play. And I found this:

I can consistently grind 6 tables of 6max hypers at a time. All regs so far are really familiar to me, and I have them perfectly categorize, so if I need to play, lets say 10 games at a time, because I need more Vpps, I think that will be no problem.
And also by 6 tabeling them and sometimes ( when I feel really good ) put in more games for a short time...
I will stay motivated and be exactly on the race to those 1 000 000 VPPs that I need for the year.

Now I am focussed on making the best play at any point, and I am really happy with my decisions and Pokerstars right now rewards me with some winnings, which is always good..lets hope for me to improve more and learn more...

Also one thing that people don`t do enough imo, is observe great players... I do that a ton and it helped my game so much...It is NOT a waste of time....ITS WORK!!!!!

6max alot more aggro after 6pm

Yesterday I had to play 2 sessions ( 1 early 9am my time and 1 late 6pm my time - german time )---

what I realized is that there were a lot more of the best regs in these games and that the games in general were alot more aggro in itself. Is this only me realizing that? And also, is theat standart? If so, I need to avoid these times 100%, its almost impossible to register into 100$ and 60$ for those reasons.
besides that I ve put in two really nice days this week. One 3400 Vpp day and one 3100 Vpp day. Also I am sitting on 1 Step 5 ticket, and am waiting for the games to start. I want an EPT  London ticket, and after booking one, I will play any EPT satelite out there ;) boooooyaaaaaaa

As once u have one ticket for a certain Event u get your 2,3,4,5,6..... ticket cashedout . And steps are definitively a really good way to get them. And they are worth 13100$ for the full package or 8000$ for Tournament entry only.....

Hey everybody... hope ya`ll doin well , and that 2013 started really good...

For me everythings cool, I started the year pretty well.
If we divide 2013 in  a few sections it would be like this:

Life outside Poker:
Well, I ve been a bit ill for a few days, and my GF was the last 4 days. But besides that everything s cool.
We went to a Spa a few times, it was awesome every single time, I love to chill in a Sauna and in water in general.
Investments so far have been on hold, and I don´t think I will be able to buy a flat in February, as there is nothing really available near me to buy in with a Price that I want it. But, we can wait...

Poker:

Well Poker is going pretty well, made good money in the higher stakes 180 man Sngs and recently started 6 max SNGS. Today was my first day of 3400 VPPS to go for Supernova Elite on Pokerstars.

Only in MTTs I am actually down 3k for the year, which is pretty normal for those things...

Well besides that I am really working hard on my new site, which I will open pretty soon, already made a few videos and am currently working on the actual website.

I really hope the site will be helpfull to alot of people, that will be my biggest goal for the site.

I am really 100% sure that the biggest problem people have, thatcauses them to not get Pokerpro is that they don`t have confidence in themselves and then, they are not sorted well enough in life. So they play Poker and win some money, but besides Poker everything starts to just blow and soon they loose all their friends and don`t talk to their family anymore. Loose Social Contact and eat unhealthy and get fat really quick...
And it takes a really big struggle after all this happening to get back on track...
